Alarm Stickies 3 is an utility that, through the use of "electronic stickies" like the below one:

In the image a default sticky: you can change at runtime any attribute of the default stickies or the attributes of every single sticky

allows you to:

have with extreme speed a support where to record a note, that will no longer be lost, since data are saved on a database
be automatically notified, the date and time you have possibly set, to what at the time recorded
select up to 9 formats of dates and three languages (english, french and italian)
record recurrences such as birthdays, anniversaries, deadlines etc and to be automatically alerted a few days before the events
have a practical quarterly calendar
have a spacious phonebook with search options

Alarm Stickies 3 is currently available in 4 languages: English, French, Spanish and Italian.

The program allows you to choose the folder where to save settings and data, which therefore can be shared with other your PCs (or Windows operating systems, if you have more than one on your PC), if the selected folder is a shared one (eg a Google Cloud folder ).

Avoid sharing the data folder with other users: a sticky that reaches the alert time is displayed only on a single PC and in case of multiple PCs open at the same time the PC where jumps the sticky might not be the your. Recurrences, instead, can be shared since them remain in the database after the achievement of the event.

Resizing area (grab by mouse and resize)

Note that the text area can be better highlighted selecting the relevant setting by the options of the program. In that case the output of the stickies becomes as in figure:

Basically the use of stickies it's intended for writing quick notes or remembering random events. For recurring events (annual, semi-annual, four-monthly, quarterly or monthly) it is preferable to use the Recurrences feature, which are then displayed through Windows notifications.

In the Windows Settings popups must be enabled in:
System > Notifications & actions

Expiring recurrences are displayed in two occasions:

At program startup (at Windows startup if the option is enabled)
When you wake up your PC after a sleep, if AS3 is still open

By pressing an appropriate button, you can chose to not to further view the notifications that have already been carried out, even if them are still in the selected days notification range.

By default each time you run AS3 the program checks on internet (only once, at program startup) if are available updates. You can deselect this checkup at any time by the "Settings" tab of the Options window.
